Where Cotton Canvas Belts Are Used

A woven cotton surface releases dough without a sticky coating, and it accepts light flouring and some moisture. That is why a biscuit line uses cotton belts at three stages, in this order.

Dough Sheeters

Cotton belts carry the dough sheet through the reducing and gauge rollers, and transfer it to the cutter or moulder.
Rotary Moulder Web

The web belt runs against the moulder die roll and pulls the formed dough pieces out of the cavities. A seamless web gives even extraction, which is why moulder webs are woven endless. Standard size 3750 x 1105 mm, or made to your machine.
Biscuit Cooling Conveyors

Cotton endless belts carry biscuits from the oven to packing while they cool, on single-level and multi-tier cooling lines. Transfer webs link the oven exit to the cooling conveyor.

How to measure a replacement belt

Measure the width of the old belt, laid flat.
Measure the loop length: the full length of the closed belt. If the old belt is not available, run a tape round the pulleys with the tension take-up in its middle position.
Measure the thickness at several points on an area that is not worn.
Photograph both edges and the belt on the machine.
