This policy explains what personal data J. S. S. Enterprises collects through this website, why we collect it and the choices you have. In short: we use your details to answer enquiries and supply orders, we never sell them, and analytics cookies stay off unless you accept them.
1. Who We Are
This website, www.jssenterprisesindia.com, including the JSS Spares Division at /spares/, is run by J. S. S. Enterprises, a proprietorship based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, trading as JSS Enterprises India (“JSS”, “we”, “us”).
We decide how and why your personal data is used, so we are responsible for it. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the “data fiduciary”; under laws such as the GDPR, we are the “controller”. 2. Personal Data We Collect
When you send an enquiry
- Enquiry form (contact page): your name, email, company or industry, country, WhatsApp number (optional) and your message.
- Spares quote form: your name, WhatsApp number, company, email (optional), country and city, and the part details you give us: description, part numbers, machine make and model, quantity, part and nameplate photos, and spare lists (PDF, Excel or CSV files).
- WhatsApp and email: your name, number or address, and what you send us, such as drawings, photos and documents.
When you place an order
Business contact and delivery details, and the information we need for quotes, invoices, export documents and payment records.
When you browse the website
- Analytics, only if you accept cookies: Google Analytics records the pages you visit, how you reached the site, your approximate location (country or city) and your device and browser type. Before you choose, or if you reject, Google receives only cookieless signals and no analytics cookie is set.
- Hosting and security: Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page visits without cookies.
- Spam protection: our forms use hidden spam checks, and the Spares form can use Cloudflare Turnstile. To limit repeated requests, we keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for one day.
We do not ask for sensitive personal data, such as health or financial account details. Please do not send it to us.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare quotes.
- To source, supply, pack, ship and invoice your order, and to support you after delivery.
- To keep the business, tax and export records that Indian law requires.
- To protect the website and our forms from spam, fraud and abuse.
- To see which pages help buyers and improve the site (analytics, only with your consent).
We use your data because you gave it to us for a specific purpose (for example, to get a reply or a quote), because you consented (analytics cookies), to prepare or perform a contract with you, to meet our legal duties, or for our legitimate business interests, such as keeping the site secure. If we send you product updates, you can tell us to stop at any time.
5. International Transfers
We are in India and our buyers are in many countries. Our service providers can process data in India, the United States, the European Union and other countries, and they use contracts and security measures to protect it. When we ship your order, the details needed for delivery and customs go to the destination country.
6. How Long We Keep It
- Enquiries and quote requests that do not lead to an order: up to 3 years after our last contact, so we can answer follow-up questions and repeat requests.
- Order, invoice and export records: as long as Indian tax, GST and customs law requires.
- Hashed IP addresses used to limit repeated form requests: 1 day.
- Analytics data: the retention period set in Google Analytics, no more than 14 months.
After these periods we delete the data or make it anonymous.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct or update it;
- delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- stop or limit some uses of it;
- give you a copy in a common format;
- withdraw your consent at any time (for analytics, use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page);
- under India’s DPDP Act, nominate a person to use these rights for you if you die or cannot act.
Email info@jssenterprisesindia.com. We may ask you to confirm who you are, and we reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live, such as the Data Protection Board of India.
9. Security
Every page uses HTTPS, only the people who need form data can see it, and we use service providers with strong security. No website is completely secure, so please do not send passwords, bank card details or other sensitive data through the forms or on WhatsApp.
10. Children
This website is for businesses. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows the last update. For an important change, we also show a notice on the website.
